Isla (Speed bonnie boat)

Isla is a mermaid, she carries her faithful friend the cormorant and a banner reading: 'Speed Bonnie boat like a bird on the wing.' Isla wears a jewelled crown, a watch and rings; her tail is checkered in a diamond pattern. She has a blue bird that hangs below, it is connected to her heart by a crocheted, painted linen cord.

Isla measures approximately 24cm from bird to crown and 9cm across. She is a one off, handmade in stoneware clay and hand painted in underglazes. She has a secure plate hanger disc on the back, so she is ready to be hung on a picture hook on the wall.
