How Fragile We Are (wall hanging throne)

How Fragile We Are is my version of an amulet; a healing chair. It has a figure sitting in a chair that has wings. She wears a leaf crown and has leaves on her robes. She has an armband which attached to her heart and another smaller heart on her lap. There is a banner that reads, 'How fragile we are.' the whole of the chair is pattered. Strung from the base of the chair are symbols: a hand for physical health, a bird for mental health and hearts for emotional health; they are strung on crocheted, painted linen cord.

This piece is made of porcelain and is hand painted with underglazes and has a crackle glaze. It has a secure hanger on the back and is ready to hang up on the wall on a picture hook. It measures approximately 34cm from top to the bottom of the hanging pieces x13cm.
