Fair Seas & Fine Weather (Demelza)

Demelza is a mermaid, she carries her faithful cat who gives her wise advice and a banner reading: 'Fair seas and fine weather', a sailors' greeting. Demelza wears a jewelled crown and a watch; her tail is shades of rich green. She has a hanging drop shape with a tiny ship on one side and a diamond pattern on the other side, it is connected to her by a crocheted, painted linen cord.

Demelza measures approximately 24cm from boat to crown and 9cm across. She is a one off, handmade in stoneware clay and hand painted in underglazes. She has a secure plate hanger disc on the back, so she is ready to be hung on a picture hook on the wall.
