Demelza the Mermaid

Demelza is free standing, she can stand on table, shelf or mantle piece. The construction is like a letter rack, there is a 2cm slot, so you can use her to store photos, postcards and so on. Demelza is reclining on a rock with sea shells, the sea, with ships on the horizon, is behind her. She carries a banner, 'Blow the wind southerly'; a bird companion rests on her arm and she dangles a sailing ship on a string. She wears a sailors' hat from the ship 'Fortitude'. She wears a striped bodice with a lace collar, a watch and rings. I make and paint each piece individually, so Demelza is unique. This piece is 18cm wide, 10cm high and 3.5cm deep.
